We were privileged today to visit a woman who comes from a family that have been making paper for 300 years and who lives in a 300 year old house. This was a great honour. As we speak not more than a dozen of words of Japanese and as the paper maker speaks about the same amount of English there was a lot of guess work going on but, oh boy, she, her house and her works are most wonderful.
I'll add more about this later but for now here are a few photos.
The garden was lovely too.
And here are three from the workshop. More to come I promise. This blogging thing takes up a fair amount of time, so it does!
